Tubebait Tips

Tube baits are great for Targeting Bass in structure. It is to be used as a drop bait. Not the best at working the bottom or reeling back toward the boat. Usually this bait isn't used in more than 10ft of water.  You need to keep constant line tension on this type of bait as it is not the type of lure fish run off with, it has to be set properly.

How to Rig Tubebaits

Insert a lead head jig with a 2/0 hook into the body of the tubebait (Push the head through the plastic)

Throw it out and let it sink all the way to the bottom. Let it sit on the bottom, then lift your rod tip and if it feels funny, set the hook!

Bounce it off the bottom a few times then reel it back in. I try to use a heavier weight in vegetation as it gets down to the bottom a little easier.
